These Easter bunny milkshakes are a hit with the kids! We have a little Easter tradition happening where my kids get an Easter bunny milkshake kit for Easter. I include an Easter bunny, nesquik (flavoured milk powder), whipped cream, milk, sprinkles and a straw. My kids can then make their own bunny shakes and enjoy drinking them (and making a mess).
Now, before you go pouring milk into your chocolate bunny, there are a few tips to follow first. Make sure that your Easter bunny isn't too big. You will be surprised at just how much milk they take to fill and the longer the milk sits, the softer the chocolate bunny will go and cause leaks. I like to use the chocolate Cadbury bunnies that are $2 from Woolworths. The bunnies are best frozen prior to use, so pop them in the freezer overnight or few a few hours prior. Also, make sure there are no holes in the egg when you buy it and be careful when transporting it. I've made the mistake a few times and haven't checked the egg and milk has gone everywhere.
What you'll need
- Easter bunny chocolate (I included some tips above)
- Milk (plain or flavoured)
- Flavouring like nesquick if using plain milk.
- Whipped cream to top
- Sprinkles
- Straw to serve
Directions
- Pour your flavoured milk into the easter bunny chocolate, top with cream and sprinkles.
- Shakes are best served straight away using a frozen chocolate bunny to prevent them from melting and leaking.
Enjoy!
