    Taco Boat Quiches

Background content: is this popular at certain times of year? Special holidays?

This was inspired by my other recipe on this site, and pairs well with this amazing sidedish recipe. Contextual, in-content links are far more valuable than a group listed at the bottom of the post.

    Taco Boat Quiches

    Ingredients

    • tortilla boats (8 boats)
    • eggs
    • milk
    • grated cheese
    • fillings - I used bacon and cheese for the kid's ones. For the adults, I added bacon, cheese, tomato, onion, capsicum and shallots.
    •  salt & pepper

See the recipe card below for quantities.

    Instructions

    Taco Boat Quiches

    Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°c. In a bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.

    Taco Boat Quiches

    Step 2
Lay the taco boats out on a lined baking tray and place all the fillings in.

    Taco Boat Quiches

    Step 3
Pour in the egg mixture to around half full.

    Taco Boat Quiches

    Step 4
Make sure that you don't overfill them as they will leak in the oven.

    Taco Boat Quiches

    Step 5
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the egg has cooked through.

    Taco Boat Quiches

    Step 6
    Serve hot or cold.

    Top Tip

Heat the boats in the microwave for 25 seconds to make them easier to pull apart! They can rip if you pull them apart while not heated.

    Storage

Store in the fridge in an air-tight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
