How much did it cost to take my family of 5 to Disney World from Australia?

This is one of the most common questions I get asked about our family trip to Disney World, so I thought I would put together a post including how much in AUD it cost to take my family of 5 to Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Flights $9000

We used airline points that we had built up via our credit card, but if we were to pay with cash, it would have been $1800 each from Brisbane to San Francisco to Orlando x 5.

Accommodation $2160 + $1280

We stayed 4 nights on site at All Stars Music in a family suite at $540 per night for 5 people. We then moved off-site to the Drury Plaza and paid $340 per night

Food $2450

We budgeted for AUD 350 per day. Most days we spend way less, and some days a little more.

Disney World 7 day Park tickets $5315

For 7 day park hopper tickets for 5 adults it was -$1063 each

Transport/Car Hire $600

We hired a car directly from Orlando airport for the entire trip, but for the 1 week for Disney World it was $600.

Spending Money $2000

We spent around $2000 for the 7 days at Disney World, which included Lightning Lanes, magic bands and other goodies.

Extras!

We did a cruise on the newest Royal Caribbean cruise ship to the Bahamas, and we stayed an extra week in Orlando to explore and visit Universal Studios. These extras have not been included in the price.
