This post is a collaboration with Woolworths
‘Tis the season to bring a plate! With school breakup parties, work parties and Christmas gatherings at every corner, I thought I would put together a post with some easy and tasty ideas when you’re asked to bring a plate. Gone are the days when you had to make something from scratch! There are so many convenient options out there now, you can just pop into your local Woolworths and grab something in minutes.
Christmas Watermelon Trees
Simply pick up a quarter watermelon and cut it into tree shapes. This is the perfect healthy plate for young kids or school breakup parties.
Christmas Sweet Platter
This year I’m all about platters. Platters look amazing, yet they are simple and cheap to put together. To assemble this platter, I included Woolworths Summer Berry Mince Pies, cakes, chocolates, candy canes cookies and fruit.
Christmas Puff Pastry Sweet Biscuits
Open the packet for these and you’re ready to go! They are perfect to take along to school breakup parties too.
I actually buy this slice for dinner and my kids love it! Open the packet, heat it and cut it into bite-sized pieces. It’s the perfect slice to take along to a family gathering or school breakup party.
Premade Salad
Woolworths has a fabulous range of premade salads that you could grab, but I just love their Crunchy Noodle Salad Kit!
Christmas Tree Fairy Bread
So simple and the kids will LOVE it! I just cut the bread into triangles and place them on a platter in a tree shape.
Woolworths Tiger Prawns
If you’re off to your family Christmas party, grab some seafood sauce, a lemon and a few kilos of fresh tiger prawns and you’ll be the family favourite.
Pavlova
You don’t have to make a big pavlova! Woolworths sells a few different style nests, which makes it super easy to make individual-sized pavlovas with some fresh cream, topped with fruit.
Premade Woolworths Entertaining Platter
Woolworths Entertaining Platters are made fresh in store, just make sure you allow 36 hours when ordering.
I hope this gives you a few more ideas of what you can take when you’re asked to bring a plate! I’d love to know what your signature dish is when you take a plate.
