Easy Baked Spaghetti - Oh So Busy Mum

Have you heard about the latest viral recipe that's taking the internet by storm? It's called baked spaghetti lasagna, and trust me, it's as delicious as it sounds. This recipe takes the classic spaghetti dish and turns it into a layered, cheesy lasagna-style masterpiece that's perfect for feeding a crowd.

Baked spaghetti is a fantastic meal for a family for several reasons. Firstly, it's a crowd-pleaser that most people enjoy. It's a classic dish that's familiar to many, and the cheesy, saucy, pasta goodness is hard to resist.

Secondly, baked spaghetti is an easy and quick meal to make. The ingredients are simple and readily available in most households, and the recipe can be adjusted to fit individual tastes and dietary requirements. It's a great meal to prepare when you're short on time or energy but still want to put together a satisfying dinner for your family.

    Ingredients

My baked spaghetti recipe is a versatile dish that can be customized to fit different preferences. You can add vegetables, onions, and mushrooms to the sauce for a more nutritious meal. You can also switch out beef mince for turkey mince or plant-based protein for a healthier option.

How To Store Baked Spaghetti Pasta?

Storing baked spaghetti is easy, and there are a few different options depending on your preference and how soon you plan to eat it.

If you're planning to eat the baked spaghetti within a day or two, the easiest option is to cover the baking dish with foil or plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator. Ensure it's cooled down completely before covering it to prevent condensation from forming and making the pasta soggy. You can reheat individual portions in the microwave or reheat the entire dish in the oven at 180°c until heated through.

If you want to store baked spaghetti for a longer period, you can freeze it. After it has cooled down completely, cut it into individual portions and wrap each portion tightly with plastic wrap and then with foil to prevent freezer burn. Label and date the packages and place them in the freezer. Baked spaghetti can be frozen for up to three months. To reheat, remove the plastic wrap and foil, and heat the portion in the microwave or oven until heated through.

It's important to note that reheating pasta dishes, including baked spaghetti, multiple times can cause the pasta to become mushy and the flavours to change. It's best to only reheat what you plan to eat to maintain the best taste and texture.
