    PlanetBox Rover Lunch Box Review

    PlanetBox Rover

    RRP $80.00

    Available from BIOME

Included:  PlanetBox Rover Lunch Box, two dipper containers, insulated carry bag and cute magnets.

    Size: 25 cm x 19 cm x 3.75 cm

    Capacity: 4.5 cups

    What I like:

    • Stainless steel quality
    • Easy to open
    • Large
    • Includes the carry bag (with strap) and extra containers

    What I don't like:

    • It can be a little heavy once packed with food
    • Expensive

    Planet Box 2

First of all, I just love stainless steel lunch boxes, so I was excited to review the PlanetBox Rover and see if it lived up to the price. It did - and I will now be buying two more of these for my other girls when they start school! The PlanetBox Rover has five different sized compartments & two containers for beverages. I like that the insulated carry bag can fit some extra fruit or food in the pocket at the front, and it even has a bottle holder. The carry strap is handy so you don't have to try and squish the lunch box inside the school bag, and your child can take it separately.

    Planet Box 3

The PlanetBox Rover is easy to open and close with one latch at the front, so it's perfect for younger kids. The lid is attached, so there is no way to lose or misplace it. There is a broad range of coloured carry bags to pick from, and you can choose from a variety of different decorative magnets. The magnets should be removed before placing the lunch box in the dishwasher, and the lunch box should be dried before reapplying them.

    Rover 5

I was a little worried about how shallow the lunch box was, but I was surprised about how much food fits in it. The lid has raised compartments, so you can pile the food high without it getting squished. I noticed that it is a little heavy, but that's expected from a stainless steel lunch box. I really can't fault this lunch box, and it's one of my favourites.

I can't see a link of where to buy it anywhere on the page. Could you please send me the link?
I couldn't find it for that price anywhere.
          Thank you

Hi there, how would the compartments go with "wetter" food, eg- left over curry/stroganoff? Thank you

I think it would spill out.

I have one of these lunch boxes for my daughter and they are the best. The round containers provided are the best for wet foods that might spill. When you place them in the lunchbox and close the lid it seals these containers. I put foods like custard, yoghurt and chia seed pudding without any leaks 🙂

In your photos you have the larger spill-proof container in the pocket of the bag. Does this also fit inside the lunch box? Also, does it come with a cooler block, or is there room for one? Where would it go? Thanks!
