First of all, I just love stainless steel lunch boxes, so I was excited to review the PlanetBox Rover and see if it lived up to the price. It did – and I will now be buying two more of these for my other girls when they start school! The PlanetBox Rover has five different sized compartments & two containers for beverages. I like that the insulated carry bag can fit some extra fruit or food in the pocket at the front, and it even has a bottle holder. The carry strap is handy so you don’t have to try and squish the lunch box inside the school bag, and your child can take it separately.
The PlanetBox Rover is easy to open and close with one latch at the front, so it’s perfect for younger kids. The lid is attached, so there is no way to lose or misplace it. There is a broad range of coloured carry bags to pick from, and you can choose from a variety of different decorative magnets. The magnets should be removed before placing the lunch box in the dishwasher, and the lunch box should be dried before reapplying them.
I was a little worried about how shallow the lunch box was, but I was surprised about how much food fits in it. The lid has raised compartments, so you can pile the food high without it getting squished. I noticed that it is a little heavy, but that’s expected from a stainless steel lunch box. I really can’t fault this lunch box, and it’s one of my favourites.
