    Ham and Cheese Pastry Puffs

It doesn't get any easier than these Ham and Cheese Pastry Puffs that can be cooked in the oven or the air fryer! The ham and cheese filling makes them perfect for the school lunch box and as a kid friendly snack.

    Jump to Recipe

My kids can't get enough of these pastry puffs! You can use just about any fillings you like, but ham and cheese are my kid's favourite right now. They have become my new lunchbox filler because they are so quick and easy to make.

    Ingredients

You will only need 5 ingredients to make these ham and cheese pastry puffs and about 20 minutes.

    What you will need

    • puff pastry
    • ham
    • grated cheese
    • dijon mustard

See the recipe card for quantities.

    Instructions

Allow the puff pastry to defrost for 5 minutes on the bench. Once defrosted, peel off the plastic backing and slice the pastry into 4 equal-sized squares.

Spread a layer of dijon mustard onto each of the squares.

Add the sliced ham to each square.

Add the grated cheese and fold 2 of the corners together in the middle. Egg wash the pastry top and bake in the oven for 15 minutes or air fryer for 10 minutes.

Hint: You could easily substitute the mustard for pizza sauce, tomato sauce or BBQ sauce.

    Storage

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days, but they are best eaten fresh the same day that you make them. We loved eating them fresh and hot straight out of the oven while the cheese is still melted.
