Say what? You can feed a family of 6 for under $15 with my creamy bacon and zucchini pasta. If you have a family of 4, no problems! You will have some leftovers for lunches the next day.
With the cost of groceries on the rise, it can be hard to keep the weekly grocery budget in check! To help customers get their Woolies worth, @Woolworths_au is providing hundreds of Specials, seasonally relevant Prices Dropped products and everyday essentials on a Low Price Freeze program, and I’m sharing one of my budget family friendly recipes with you.
Here are some of my top tips to save on your grocery bill
- Make a list - Not only is a list a great way to ensure you get everything you need, but it can also be a great way to save by sticking to it and researching sales before shopping.
- Meal plan - Plan out your week’s worth of dinners so that you only buy what you need to prepare the meals. This helps with food wastage too! I like to separate all my dinners into containers in the fridge to keep everything organised and prepper for each meal.
- Shop half price sales - My favourite thing to do when shopping is to shop the half price sales! I plan our weekly grocery shop around half price items and I save heaps doing it this way.
- Shop online - This will help you stick to only what you need and you won’t be popping extra items in your trolley as you walk past them in the grocery aisles. It’s also a great way to shop the half price items as they have their own category in the online Woolworths shop.
