OK, hear me out… meatballs as burger patties. I just grab a pack of meatballs, squish them down and pop them in the pan, and ta-da, the perfect size for slider buns. 🙌🏻

They’re super easy, budget friendly, and the kids absolutely smash them. I keep it simple with meat, cheese, pickles and sauce (because less fuss = more eating).
Honestly, SO good for lunch, dinner, parties… or just because. 🥰

Ingredients
- Meatballs
- Slider buns or mini brioche buns
- Cheese slices
- Pickles (optional, but highly recommended!)
- Tomato sauce, BBQ sauce or burger sauce
- A little oil for frying
- Lettuce or tomato (optional – if your kids agree )
Instructions
Step 1
Heat pan over medium heat and add a little oil. Flatten meatballs and fry.
Step 2
Cook the meatball patties for a few minutes on each side. Add a slice of cheese to the patty or bun (whatever you prefer)
Step 3
Assemble the burgers.
Step 4
Serve!
Why I love this hack:
- It’s budget-friendly! Meatballs are often cheaper than mince or burger patties.
- No need to shape patties from scratch because the work’s already done for you!
- Perfect size for kids and great for lunchboxes the next day.
- You can make a whole tray of these for parties or movie nights.
Top Tip
Buy pre-made beef meatballs from the supermarket to make it even easier.
