    Boon Cargo Lunch Box Review

    January 5, 2015 by ohsobusymum 1 Comment

    Boon Cargo

    RRP$ 18.95

    Available from Lime Tree Kids

    Size: 5cm x 23cm x 23cm

    Capacity: 5 cups

    What I like:

    • Design
    • Large size
    • Easy to wash and clean

    What I don't like:

    • Difficult to find a cool bag to fit
    • The lid can be a little tricky for younger kids

I love how simple this lunch box is. It has such a cute design, and the small handle is handy for younger children. The compartments are quite large, so you can fit a lot of food in it. A whole sandwich will fit uncut, which is hard to find in bento-style lunch boxes. In the past, there have been issues with the lids coming off, but that problem has been fixed and I haven't had any problems with ours.

Opening for younger kids is easy. However, it can be a little tricky putting the lid back on correctly. My 3-year-old can now put the lid on and pull it off by herself with a little practice over the last few months. We have been using this lunch box for around eight months, and it is still in perfect condition. I like how it is still small enough to fit in the nappy bag or backpack but still fits a large amount of food in it. You don't have any other parts or additional containers to worry about washing or misplacing them.

My only problem with this lunch box is finding a cool bag to fit.

      Hi there,

My daughter used this for kindy last year and we were able to squeeze it into the medium fridge-to-go to keep it cool for 8 hours. It served her well and she'll use it again this year 🙂
