Our Stay at Aulani, Disney Resort Hawaii

Our Stay at Aulani, Disney Resort Hawaii

This place was absolute paradise! We travelled from Australia with our family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids) to visit Aulani Disney Resort in Hawaii. It is the most amazing resort and place we’ve ever been (big call, I know). If you didn’t already know, we love Disney! Aulani is a mix of tropical paradise resort with a touch of Disney magic. It really is everything you could ever dream of. I can’t put into words just how amazing this place is! I dream about going back here and staying even longer.

Our Stay at Aulani, Disney Resort Hawaii

Some of what we experienced at Aulani!

    • Outdoor Disney movies of a night.
    • Uncle's tales by the fire. Picture sitting around a campfire listening to magic stories told by uncle.
    • Water park and water slides (big and small ones).
    • Interactive iPad - Menehune Adventure Trail. The kids can walk around the resort and follow a map to find interactive surprises using an iPad.
    • Kids club (you won’t find one better). I couldn’t take photos of the inside, but you should google them!
    • The most amazing Hawaiian sunset each night.
    • 6 pool areas and a private beach with beach toys, chairs, and beach service (cocktails served to you on the beach).
    • Free BBQs around the resort (we worked this out the last night, but wish we found them sooner).
    • Unlimited soft drinks and coffee (you can purchase a cup for $19.95 that allows for unlimited drinks).
    • Lazy river.
    • Character experiences and character breakfast.
    • Live Hawaiian music playing around the resort adds to the magic.
    Refillable cup $19.95
    Interactive iPad
    Disney shaved ice
    one of the 3 pools
    view beach
    Food hut

TIPS FOR STAYING AT DISNEY AULANI RESORT

    • Due to the price it costs to stay here, I recommend you do nothing but relax and explore the resort. You want to be able to spend as much time as possible here. I recommend you stay at least 2 nights, but I think 4 nights would be ideal.
    • Ditch the hire car. The resort is located in Kapolei, which is around a 35-minute drive from the Honolulu area. We organised transfers as we knew we didn't need the hire car here and didn't want to pay for parking.
    • Stop and do a shop on the way to have some groceries and snacks. There is also a convenience store across the street that is an easy walk.
    • We didn't find the onsite food too expensive. A family pizza was $22, which we thought was fine given its size.
    • Buy the unlimited cups for $19.95! You can fill them with hot and cold drinks with unlimited refills.
    • Book a Disney character breakfast. It's one of the most amazing buffet breakfast spots you will find.

Hi. This looks amazing. Just wondering what type of accommodation you booked as we are a family of 5 and standard rooms only allow 4. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for this blog. We’re hoping to head to Aulani in May 2025. What company did you use for transfer? We’ll need one from the airport. Thank you

I won't recommend the one we booked. He was always late and rude.
