We were invited to have a fun day at Aussie World on the Sunshine Coast!
Aussie World is a theme park located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia. It’s a smaller sized theme park which is exactly what we love about it. The rides are suitable for all ages, from little ones to the big kids. If you're visiting Queensland and heading to the Sunshine Coast, pop Aussie World on your list for a fun day out.
Before Going
Check Opening Hours
You will need a full day here! Each time we go, we stay until closing which is when the park quietens down and you have the run of the park with a few other people. The park is open 7 days, but it is best to check before booking tickets. You can find the opening hours listed here: https://www.aussieworld.com.au/park-info

My Top Tips
- Pack drinking water, suncreen, hats and some swimmers for the water play area.
- Check out the wagon hire if you have young kids.
- Head over to the Banana Bender pub for lunch (it's so good).
- Plan to stay until park closure, that way you get to enjoy the park without the crowds.
- There is a gift shop on exit, so expect to spend some time checking it out when you leave.
- Measure your child's height on entry so you know what rides they can and can't ride to save disappointment after lining up for the ride.
Food
Trust me when I say, get a pass out and head over to the Banana Bender pub for lunch! It’s right next door, so you don’t have to travel far. The food is AMAZING and did I mention they have some delicious cocktails! If I can recommend 2 things get the Mango's famous bruschetta and the porterhouse steak! I'm still craving that bruschetta weeks later.
Rides
Thrill Seekers
If you have thrill seekers in your family, you will LOVE some of the new rides at Aussie World.
With my feet planted firmly on the ground, I watched my family brave the SX360, which is Australias fastest 360-degree pendulum thrill ride. The SX360 reaches speeds of up to 80km/h while launching 32 metres into the air and completing 360° inversions with up to 5G's of force.
There is also a new rollercoaster coming to Aussie World called the Dingo Racer which is expected to open in April 2022.
A little bit of thrill
If your kids don’t like the full-on thrill rides, plenty of mid-range rides is available. My girls loved the redback and went on it about 10 times and also loved The Plunge (water ride) which is perfect to cool off on a hot day.
For the little ones
You’ll find a lot of rides suitable for the little ones from carousels, trains and a bug run (mini roller coaster for children).
Activities
You'll find some fun carnival games and our favourite each time we visit, Professor Bogglesworth's Illusionarium which is fun for the whole family exploring all the rooms. Oh and there is a water play area suitable for all ages, so don't forget to pack some togs.
Let me know if you have any questions about Aussie World and I'll happily answer them for you!
