5 Minute Air Fryer Mini Cheesy Hot Dogs

    March 3, 2021 by ohsobusymum 1 Comment

I'm calling it now! This has to be one of the easiest air fryer recipes ever. Not only is it super easy, but all the ingredients come in at under $5 to make 12 mini cheesy hot dogs. When I shared these over on my Facebook page, the post with crazy and this easy idea turned out to be quite popular.
Now, don't worry if you don't have an air fryer (although you should get one), they can be cooked in the oven for the same temperature and time as the air fryer instructions below. They are great for the lunchbox too! You could send them warm in a thermos or you could send them cold (my kids are happy to eat them cold). I also like to make these on lazy nights when I couldn't be bothered cooking a big meal!

    What you'll need
    • 1 packet of 12  "bake at home" rolls from Woolworths
    • 12 cocktail franks (know as cheerios in QLD)
    • Grated cheese for the top

    Directions

    1. Cut the bake at home rolls, place a cocktail franks inside and top with cheese.
    2. Bake in the air fryer or oven at 180 degrees for around 5 minutes or until the cocktail franks are heated through.

This is a great recipe - no doubt about it - but if you're like me, and you've never been happy with just great, then do yourself a favour and buy a can of Stagg Dynamite Hot Chilli while you're at Woolies, and lay a little down in the rolls as a bed for the franks, and then you'll have an OUTSTANDING recipe!
      😉
