Chocolate chip oat slice

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup 150g self-raising flour
  • 1 cup 90g rolled oats
  • cup 140g (firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 1 cup 200g milk chocolate chips
  • 125 grams butter, melted cooled slightly
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 170°c and line a baking tray with baking paper
  • In a bowl, mix all dry ingredients together except the chocolate chips (they will melt if added with the butter).
  • Add the melted butter and egg. Mix with a wooden spoon until the mixture is combined.
  • Add the chocolate chips and mix.
  • Pour mixture into the baking tray and push down firmly with a spatula.
  • Bake for 25-35 minutes or until firm to touch and golden on top. Allow for cool (it will slightly harden when cooled).
  • Slice into desired sizes.

Thermomix Instuctions

  • Preheat oven to 170°c and line a baking tray with baking paper
  • Add cubed butter to Thermomix bowl, 2-3 minutes, speed 2, temp 50C until the butter has melted.
  • Add flour, oats sugar and egg and mix speed 4 for 30-60 seconds or until mixture has combined.
  • Pour chocolate chips into TM bowl and mix through with a spatula.
  • Pour mixture into a baking tray and bake for 25-35 minutes or until firm to touch and golden on top. Allow for cool (it will slightly harden when cooled).
