Nutella Drops

Cheree - {Oh So Busy Mum}
I was making a batch yesterday and my kids asked if I could put Nutella in them instead and I thought what a great idea. I added Nutella to half of the batch just to test them and they turned out perfectly!

Ingredients

  • 250 grams salted butter softened
  • 1 cup caster sugar 200g
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ½ cups self-raising flour 380g
  • Plain flour, to dust
  • ½ cup ½ cup Nutella

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C and line 2 baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
  • Using an electric beater, beat the butter, sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl until pale and creamy.
  • Add the eggs and beat until combined.
  • Sift flour over the mixture and mix until combined.
  • Roll teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls (you might need to lightly flour your hands for this step).
  • Place on the trays about 5cm apart (allow enough space for them to spread).
  • Use a lightly floured finger or back of a whisk to make an indentation in the centre of each ball.
  • Spoon or pipe (piping is much easier) ½ teaspoon of Nutella into the centre of each biscuit.
  • Bake for 12- 15 minutes or until the biscuits are cooked through and lightly golden.
  • Set aside to cool completely
