Servings 8 burgers

Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef mince regular beef mine 80/20 %
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cracked pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne powder

Instructions

  • Preheat your frypan or BBQ to a medium heat.
  • In a large bowl, combine the mince and all of the spices.
  • Divide the mince into 8 equal round patty sizes of around 1cm thick. You will want to make the patties larger than your bun size as they will shrink once cooked. Push a thumb mark down in the middle of each raw patty to stop it from puffing up when cooking.
  • Place burgers on the grill, frypan or BBQ and cook the burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the meat has fully cooked. Add a slice of cheese to each burger patty in the last minute of cooking to make the perfect burger with melted cheese.
  • Serve on your favourite burger buns with toppings!
