This post is a collaboration with IsoWhey and Oh So Busy Mum
I know it sounds cliché, but for me, this year is all about reaching my goals. I’m going to stop using time as an excuse and I’m going to FIND the time to work on myself, lead a healthier lifestyle, excel in my business and become the new me! No more excuses!
Check out my goals for 2018 below!
Get healthy and lose weight
If you follow me on social media, you’ll know that I’ve been following the IsoWhey plan, which is a weight-loss shake that is nutritionally balanced to help nourish your body, manage your weight and feel your best.
Let me tell you a little bit about IsoWhey
IsoWhey has 15.0g protein per serving, 23 vitamins and minerals and no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners. The best part, it comes in 6 flavours that are mild and not overpowering or super sweet. For more information, check out the IsoWhey website for healthy recipes, tips and a full guide. I substitute 2 meals a day with IsoWhey shakes (breakfast and lunch) and eat a healthy dinner, along with some fruit for snacks throughout the day.
Why I love IsoWhey
I’ve been on the IsoWhey plan for just over 3 weeks and I’ve already lost 4kg and dropped a dress size. I expected to lose some weight, but I never expected to lose it so quickly. Along with drinking 2 IsoWhey shakes a day, I go to the gym 5 days a week and drink at least 3 litres of water per day.
If you’re looking for a weight loss shake that works, I fully recommend you try IsoWhey. I wish I started this sooner instead of trying and failing on other plans. It has honestly been brilliant for me and my lifestyle as a busy mum. I’ve found it pretty easy to follow without the need to prepare 3 healthy meals per day. I just mix up my shake and I’m done! The first week I found a little tricky, but I was never hungry – it was just breaking the habit of eating unnecessarily throughout the day.
Set blog goals and reach them!
I’ve been blogging for 4 years now and I have so many projects I’m working on, but they always get pushed aside for other things. This year, I have a plan! A plan to complete all of these projects and get them out there. I can’t put all the blame on being time-poor; it’s hesitation and my fear of failing. I’m letting go of all those fears and giving it a go anyway!
Make more time for me
Working from home for the past few years has been super tricky! I have to work around my family, and it allows little time for anything else. I’ve created a schedule to help me manage my time more efficiently and allocate time just for me. I’ve found the gym is now my escape place where I spend most of my “me time.”
Make an effort to catch up with friends more often
I live 15 minutes away from my best friend, and we still don’t catch up often enough. I’m making an effort to catch up with some mum friends at least once a fortnight, even if it’s just for a quick coffee and chat.
Say yes more often
I can’t tell you the number of things I’ve turned down in my blogger career due to my own fears. I’ve turned down some pretty amazing opportunities due to my own doubts and fears. This year, I told myself I will say YES more often and just do it! I had my first offer a few weeks ago to host a blogging event and I’d normally say no right away (because, you know, what if I fail?), but I said yes and jumped right into planning it. I was so happy that I did it and all went well.
I’m in the position with my large social following that I can use my platform for good and try to help others if I can. This year, I’d like to do more of that and get involved in some organisations and charities.
I’d love to hear what your goals are for this year!
